LIVING TRUSTS

Video Transcription:

Probate. It is a long, expensive nightmare that most of us know we don’t want to put our loved ones through after we pass on. Your records become public, and your family might not have immediate access to the assets you wanted them to have. So, can probate be avoided? If so, how? Estate planning attorney Randell Doane talks about the benefits of a living trust.

“Well a living trust is a trust you set up during your lifetime, and primarily they’re set up for two reasons, to avoid probate when you pass away, and probate can be expensive and can be a big delay of time, so it’s nice to avoid that, a secondary benefit of a living trust is it makes it easier for whoever you pick to manage your business affairs if you’re incapacitated. Such as in your old age.”

The time to plan for your future, and the future of your loved ones is now. The attorneys at Doane and Doane will be there for you every step of the way during your estate planning process. You have questions, they have answers. Call Doane and Doane or visit doaneanddoane.com
